Many people when they think of Valentine they think of little cherubs.
Cherubims are part of the Supreme Hierarchy in the first triad of the Throne of God. That’s pretty powerful, considering that archangels and angels are at the bottom of the hierarchy.
The word Cherub may come from a term ‘to guard’ which would fit well with their role.
So far from being cute, cuddly creatures, the Cherubim are the mighty and powerful guardians of God.
In sacred texts of ancient knowledge depict cherubs as having four faces (that of a human, lion, eagle and ox). They are described with four wings, two used for flying and two for covering their bodies.
Many scholars, understand the cherubs are, likely, part of the divine throne, a kind of platform upon which God will sit or stand and from which God will speak.
Overall, cherubs are given the task of serving directly in God’s presence and also act as heavenly counselors who guard the light. Cherubims are the seekers of the eternal truth and if you are struggling to find your faith and spiritual pathway, you should call on the Cherubims to help you find the light and eternal truth of God.
and as God is Love… what better than Cherubims to be tasked with such great work to oversee and protect Love.
